Service

Look after their health, not just their safety.

Most safety programmes guard against the accident that happens in a moment. Occupational health protects against the harm that builds up quietly over years — the hearing loss, the dust on the lungs, the stress that never lets up. We help you see it coming and act before it costs anyone their health.

What's included

Health surveillance, support and wellbeing — joined up.

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require you to provide health surveillance where a residual risk to health remains. We help you work out exactly where that applies, set it up properly, and turn the results into action — alongside the softer support that keeps people well day to day.

01

Noise & HAVS Surveillance

Where exposure approaches the limits in the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 or the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, we help you put audiometry and hand-arm vibration screening in place — and read the results properly.

02

Respiratory & Skin Health

For dusts, fumes, isocyanates and wet work covered by COSHH 2002, we scope lung-function testing and skin checks for occupational dermatitis, and link them to your RPE programme and face fit testing.

03

OH Provider Signposting

We don't pretend to be a clinic. We connect you with the right SEQOHS-accredited occupational health providers and OH physicians, brief them on your risks, and make sure the referrals you send are the ones that actually matter.

04

Mental Health & Stress

Using the HSE Management Standards for work-related stress, we help you assess the real pressures — demands, control, support, relationships, role and change — and build a response that managers can actually run.

05

Health Records & Reporting

Confidential health records kept the way the regulations expect, with diagnosed cases of disease reported under RIDDOR 2013 where required — and a clear paper trail if the HSE ever asks.

06

Wellbeing Initiatives That Land

No fruit-bowl gestures. Practical, proportionate initiatives — manager training, return-to-work support, musculoskeletal and DSE help — designed around your people and built to outlast the launch poster.

Why it matters

A healthy team is a loyal, productive team.

Ill health driven by work costs UK employers billions in lost time every year — and the cases that reach a tribunal or an HSE prosecution are almost always the ones nobody monitored. Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 already places the duty squarely on you: protect employees' health, not just their limbs.

Catch it early

Surveillance exists to spot the first signs of harm while they're still reversible — so a tingling finger never becomes a vibration white-finger claim.

Stay on the right side of the law

From MHSWR 1999 to COSHH 2002 and RIDDOR 2013, the duties are explicit. We make sure you're meeting them and can prove it.

Keep good people

Teams that feel looked after stay, refer their mates and go the extra mile. Wellbeing isn't a perk — it's retention you can measure.

How it works

From risk on paper to people kept well.

Three straightforward stages, led personally by Dominic Gibbons CMIOSH. No off-the-shelf wellbeing package — a programme shaped around the hazards you actually have.

01Step 01

Understand

We map your real health risks against COSHH, noise, vibration and stress, and decide precisely where surveillance is required and where it isn't — so you spend effort only where the law and the risk demand it.

02Step 02

Plan

We set up the right surveillance, brief an accredited OH provider, and build a stress and wellbeing plan your managers can run — with clear records, referral routes and review dates baked in.

03Step 03

Embed

We make it routine: results feed back into your risk assessments, return-to-work and ISO 45001 systems, and a Chartered professional stays on hand for the cases that need a steady head.

The cheapest health problem to fix is the one you catch before it starts. Surveillance isn't box-ticking — it's how you keep people whole.
